Financial administration

The Radboud Biobank is established as an infrastructure to stimulate scientific research by those taking the initiative for the sub-collection as well as other researchers with well thought-out plans. The high demands placed on quality, standardisation and harmonisation strengthens the research facilities and the scientific output.  All costs for the inclusion of patients and the collection of samples and data are covered by the participating department.  The Radboud Biobank covers the costs of sample preparation, freezing, storage and distribution (exclusive postage/transport costs). At the time of distribution an administrative fee applies and researchers are required to make a contribution depending on the nature and quantity of the samples and the affiliation of the researcher with the Radboud University Medical Centre. The sole purpose of this contribution is to cover the operating costs of the Radboud Biobank.
